How to add ftp support for apache web server

Hi guys i wonder how i can add ftp support for apache web server so that i be able to work remotly on the server.Furthermore , how to access apache remotly and make changes.Thanks

You don't. You install a separate FTP program.

I use vsftpd, which seems to be one of the standards included with Linux these days. Also, ws-ftpd on Windows.

I'm guessing your using Windows XP... you might want to try:

i can really recommend xagte's proposal filezilla.

but i don't know a way to remotely change apache's server-settings. after you changed httpd.conf you need to restart the server which, for security reasons, i think should only be able locally.

but maybe somebody else can enlighten us further?
