Is there a way of attaching an image to the email and pointing the IMG SRC statement in the HTML at the attachment?
Sometimes I receive messages pointing to a cid (attached image) but I don't know how to embed image in my messages....

Thanks in advance for any support.

Luca

Im not sure that I understand what you are trying to do, however if you are trying to embed pictures into your emails then it is a matter of what email program you are using. If you are using something like outlook express alls you really have to do is change your options to format your emails as html and then insert the pic.

I'm trying to create my personal e-mail template to be used with MS Outlook XP.
What I want is to include my company logo .gif file in order to embed and send it within the html e-mail message.
What I do not want is to create a template pointing to a web server in order to display images.

Hope this help.

Now I discoved that...

If you want to embed images in your e-mail messages simply run Outlook and then:

1. Click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.

2. Click the Internet Format button. If your sending format is set to anything other than HTML, this article does not apply.

3. Click to select the When an HTML message contains pictures located on the Internet, send a copy of the pictures instead of a reference to their location check box, and then click OK.

If you to this Outlook will automatically send your images as embed images.

To simplify option settings I suggest to put template files (.htm, .gif) under user profile (\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft….).

Hope this help.
