Hi.
I want to do the following:
I have a breakfast with two menu items: Scrambled Eggs and (Coffe or Juice), the price of eggs is 5.00 and the price of Coffe or Juice is 1.00) just for having a price and a product. I want to see the two menu items that make the breakfast on [Menu Item] Reports including it's prices separately. But i want to see in my check just the Scrambled Eggs in 6.00 (i do not want the coffe or juice to print on the client receipt).
I have seen the [Courses] but i do not know exactly how does it works.
I have the Coffe and Juice as condiments with price in order to print them on [Menu Item] reports.
All that I could do is disappear the Juice from the customer receipt, but I can not make the condiment price to add the main course price.
I appreciate any idea.

Thanks in advanced.

We use Micros 4.9 over WinXp and 3.2 over Win2k versions, with EM Server over Win2003 server.

you could try using the combo meal feature, adding items with price will bring the total up but don't remember if can avoid printing the courses (I'm assuming that if the item is set not to print then it shouldn't, unless the combo feature overrides it)

You're looking for the "Print Condiments On Menu Item Line" option. It's in RVC Print Design under the Options tab. If you check that for each RVC, and uncheck the "guest check" and "receipt" option for the print class you have assigned to your coffee and juice modifiers it will do what you want.

The only problem is that if you have any modifiers that you want print on your guest checks, they'll start printing on the same line as the main item instead of on individual lines.

You can setup menu items with condiments and have only the main menu item print on the Guest Check.

Create a Main Item (Breakfast). This is the item showen on the Menu Button and Printed on the Guest Check.
This item has a class that has two required condiments (Egg Style and Beverage Type), The condiments are for the Eggs and the Coffee or Juice. You can have the Eggs also point to condiment class that asks for the style of eggs (Scrambled, Sunny Side up, Over easy, etc...); The other is for the beverage, this one can also point to a condiment that offers beverage type (Coffee, Juice, Soda, etc...). The price can be placed on each of the items, however when printed on the Guest Check it only shows the total of the two. So it Reads "Egg Breakfast $6.00". However, the Cooks will see the following printed. This way the correct style of eggs are made. The beverage option can be printed to the hot printer or not, being this more or less taken care of by the Waiter/Waitress.

Printed to Hot Printer:
Egg Breakfast
Scrambled
Coffee

The option for the Condiment Item Price to be added to the Parent item is #23 in the options for the Class the Item belongs to. For the output of the Condiment Item go to the Output settings for the Condiments Class and uncheck "Print on Customer Receipt" and "Print on Guest Check". Just make sure the correct order device is selected so it prints to the Cooks printer to get made.

Where is this in the POS Configurator? This seems like it should be a menu item class setting but I've only been able to do it using the RVC option I mentioned above.

hosehead78, I just noticed in one of your previous posts that you use a 9700 system. This is for a 3700 so doesn't have the binary option bit positions for it's classes.

Thanks a lot to [pmegan], this is what i was looking for.
I will try, and i will show to my boss, as you say, about printing in one line.

Thanks to all for contributing.

@pmegan, my bad. Didn't realize it was for the 3700 system. I would like to try to get to know that system as well, but sadly, I do not have the software for it.
