How to Add Color to Gradient Palette? 1

Hi,

Working in AI9, I want to use the gradient palette to control the gradient appearance of an object. The palette shows up on my screen as grayscale. Somewhere I read that you could edit the stops to add color, but it didn't explain how. Is there a way to use the gradient palette with color as well as with grayscale?

...drag a color swatch over the stop markers and release, use the color palette to tint spot colors...

...drag the gradient from the gradient palette into the swatches palette for further use, a good habit to have is to create global colors double click a color in the swatches palette to make one...

...that way when you change the swatch color all instances of it will change too...
