Hi, Ive setup HYPER V R2 visor on a DELL server and configured SCVMM remotely. I am trying to add a backup device LT04 on virtually created server but am not even able to add it virtually on the host.

Any ideas as to how I can add the device drivers to the VM host where the visor is? Or add the SCSI device to the virtual win2k8 OS?
Thanks.

Ankit.

I'm pretty sure that Hyper-V doesn't support passthrough SCSI. It will support passthrough disks (SCSI, SAS, iSCSI, etc), but not the SCSI interface and protocol itself for non-disk devices. I know that was a limitation of the original Hyper-V release and I haven't heard anything about it being implemented in R2 or even SP1.
