A brief setup. I have an OPT11c at every campus and there are 43 campus'. All are tied to an OPT 81 at our data center. I need to add more DNs to a particular campus. Each campus has it's own CDP. Example- campus 1 has 1000-1049, campus 2 has 1050-1099, and so forth. Campus 1 needs 10 more DNs added to it. I have vacant DN's in the 81. How do I add the 10 DNs to campus 1?

You don't really "add" dn's to your system, you have every available number already in the pbx(option 11 and 81 are the same in this regard).

Are you trying to build a new phone or add employees or what?

All DN's are already in every system, you just need to look at yor exisiting CDP and see how they are programmed and point the new one's the same way.

Maybe adding isn't the correct term. I want to make 10 more DNs available to an 11c.

I assume that your 81 is where your DID's originate and are routed to each switch via RLI's?
ex. a call into DN1234 starts at the 81 and via RLIXX is routed to campus A where DN1234 is built?
If that is the case I think you would just need to add those 10 DID's into the 81c CDP using the correct RLI to get it to the campus where the new phones will be built.

YOu already have all your DN's in every 11c you have, you do not have to add them. To make them available all you have to do is program a phone or device to use them.

Every DN you have in your 81 is also in your 11.

go to ld 20

Req=prt
type=ludn

this will show you all the numbers not programmed. if it only says 43 44 45 you have every possible number starting with those numbers ie 4300-4399 etc. same if it only shows 1 digit, like 8, then you have every possible number that starts with 8 as free dn's to use.

AH! Get the RLI of the campus I want and route the additional DNs to that RLI in the 81? LD 87, right?

Print out your CDP to see what you have already, and program the new DN's the same way.

definately in LD 87 of 81,
REQ PRT
CUST your customer number
FEAT CDP
TYPE CDP
CDP existing number at campus where new phones will be.

You should get back the RLI you need to update the 10 numbers in CDP on your 81.

Assuming this is how your setup works.

okay cant type
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT CDP
TYPE DSC
DSC existing number at campus where new phones will be.

That is why we are here. In some cases I don't know what I would have done without this group!

Actually I do. Spent company money to get someone else to come out and do the work...
