How to add a new user? 1

Hi,

Oracle 8i has predefined username and password like "scott tiger".

How can I define a new username and password like "user1 password1".

I've done a lot of research on the Web but didn't find any simple procedure.

This is pretty basic stuff..
In SqlPLus :

create user user1 identified by password1 ;
grant connect to user1;
You need to be the DBA or equivilant to do this..
