Hi Guys,

was just wondering how easy it would be to add a page with a comments box that someone can fill in and click a button which automatically sends (via email) back to a constant email address. I am using frontpage 2000.

Please could you let me know how I can do this, or if there is an easy way using frontpage 2000 as I cannot program HTML.

Thanks..

The easiest way:

Initiate the FormPage Wizard. Select New->Page and FormPageWizard will be one of the possible selections.

Click "next" on the first window that appears (feel free to read the info, if you like :) )

On the next window, click "add"

In the scrollbox labeled "Select type of input to collect for this question" click on the last selection, "paragraph"

As indicated, edit the prompt for the question.

Enter the name of the variable to hold the answer (this is what the form handler will use to identify the data being sent; you do want to provide a fairly descriptive name).

For simplicity's sake, select "finish." If you want more questions on the form, create a new page and use the wizard again. Note that you can also edit whatever appears on the page without having to go through the Wizard.

Position your cursor over the form (denoted by the box of dashes) and select "form properties"

Enter the email address where you want the results to be sent in the appropriate box.

If you would like to manipulate things like what appears in the subject line of the email or the formatting of the text, you can select "options" and look under the "email" tab.

If your FrontPage extensions are installed properly, things should work fine.

Good luck.
