How to Activate Handsfree on T7316E

Hey guys

I have a Nortel Networks T7613E Phone. I also have the BEM software. I want to be able to use the hansfree speaker not just to listen but to talk aswell.

First Question Is it even Possible

Second question if so how do i configure it. Under Telphony | sets | templates | capabilities | there is an Option called handsfree and it is set to Auto. This is the only thing i can find on it and it is un editable from here. If anyone could do me up a quick Step by step id be very greatefull

Yes you need to set the dn to have full handsfree and auto handsfree.

If you edit a template you make the change to all sets using that template. If that's what yoou intend ,fine, but you should test by making the change on a single set first. Use Sets, Active Sets and choose a set, then make the change.

To do this for the phones in the BCM element manager go to : Configuration --> Telephony --> Sets --> All DNs. From here select the tab "Capabilities and Preferences" in the right hand window. Then select any DN and in the capabilities the first option is for Handsfree. Here you can set this to "None", "Standard" or "Auto".
