How to achieve bind-variable functionality for param. list of value

The problem: I have 2 parameters to my report. In both I want the user to choose from a list of values. In the first one user choose a type, and in the second dropdown I ONLY want values of that type to appear.
Is there any way I can do this in Oracle Report 6i? I have tried to use a bind variable in the Select statement for the list of values, but get an error messages saying that it is not allowed.

Unfortunately you can not do it with Reports paramform. You may create simple (but much reacher than in Reports!) parameter form in Oracle Forms and run your report by RUN_PRODUCT or RUN_REPORT_OBJECT. Regards, Dima
