Hi,
{apologies for cross-posting, but struggling to get a response...}
We're using Crystal X on desktop, and Crystal XI Server (uses BOE XI for access to the CMC).

How do I get to use the repository to store custom functions and logo's etc? Every attempt to open the repository or define new folders results in a msgbox - 'Operation failed: You do not have edit right on: "Repository root folder". (MDS.DLL)'

I am logging on as Administrator, do I have to give myself additional rights somewhere?

I have just managed to create folders in the repository by remote-logging directly on to the CRServer box and using the Business View Manager - but still cannot access them from a report in Crystal, even though I logged on to the CMS to download the report definition.

Thanks in advance...

I am pretty sure that you need to be using the same version of CR Designer as the version of CR Server. Do you have a copy of CR Designer XI that you can load onto a machine to test this with? I have never had any luck connecting from CR to CR Server or Enterprise if they were not the same version.

Ah, thanks - never thought to check that!
Most of our desktop licences are Crystal X, we obviously did get a licence for Crystal XI with CRServer, but thought it best that our primary developers all had the same desktop version. There are a few versions of Crystal XI around, I'll see if I can try to prove it.

Thanks again.
