there a little bit hdd problem. there are 2 hdd just now from 6 hdd.(partitions)I create 5 partitions:-

- d,e,f,g & h

now there are 2 hdd c & d while cdrom(i).
now drive d is known as a FAT32 drive.
i have many important files ther.how can i access that files? can u give me a tip or software to access it..

isn't i must format that drive as a last result?
please help me!

What operating system are you running? How did you format a fat32 drive if your operating system can't read it? Its not obvious from your description why you can't just read the drive in Windows (assuming you are running windows)

I'm going to jump to the conclusion that you're using NT. If so, the best thing to do would be to take the hard disk out of your computer and put it into a Windows 98 computer as secondary.

That way you will be able to read the files off the D partition (although it may have a different drive letter on a different computer). You won't be able to read the files off the C partition this way, but then thats not your problem...

It sounds like you have installed a FAT32 drive into a system that can't recognize the media descriptor.
What are you running for an OS and what OS created the FAT32 drive?
Best solution is to reinstall the FAT32 back into the original machine or to reinstall the OS on the C: drive into the same format and OS as the D:

You don't mention what Operating System you are using, this is critically important information as any answers will be based on that information.

You should be able to boot to a Win98 boot disk and be able to access the FAT32 drive. If you have Win95/95A, you will not be able to access the FAT32 drive.

If Windows will open and run, can it 'see' the FAT32 drive?

Is FAT32 drive a compressed drive by any chance?
