how to access certificate store using java?

i am quite new in java programming,but my spvisor asked me to develop a module which can call certificate store so that the user can view the cert without accesing internet tools features.the problem is i dont know how to begin from?.if somebody have been heard abt this prob before,could u please link it for me so i can see the example of the similar prob as a guide for my own module.
