How to access and save the UserID in LS 5.0

How can I find out which user is logged in into LS 5.0 ?
When I click on the about-link in LS 5.0 there is a window showing me the user id. Where can I find this information (perhaps session variable) to save this information into my own variable?

I would like to link an ASP-Script to an LS 5.0 course content but without users have to log-in again.

Ok, this is what we are working on at the moment...

there used to be something called the AICC interface in LS4.

I have asked Lotus about this and they say that the AICC interface still works, but all of the stuff we have written that uses it, well it works in Ls4, but not LS5!!!

So what we are doing at the moment is writing a bit of Java code that plugs into learningSpace5, when a user logs onto LS5 it writes the users sessionID and username to a DB table. You can then get the username by querying the DB with your ASP app.
