How to abort a job ??

I Have Backup exec 8 , but there is a problem that I can't resolve. I tried make a backup , but It's seem it's not the good tape (alert message) , the tape it's ejecting but bacupexec is loading for a support, I want to cancel this job ,but I can't do .

ok, usually, when backup exec does something odd, like asking for different media or something, it will give you either:
ok
cancel

or you will get:

yes
no
cancel

now in my experience, this is the time to abort the job, just click on cancel, and the job will stop , no questions asked, if you go down the right-click - abort road, you will just lock the server up and when it has happened to me, the only thing to do if you then can't stop the services, is to do a reboot. Try simply clicking cancel.

what problem are you having with BE, what is the message that comes up?

What OS are you running?

What are you trying to back up?

How long has this problem been going on?
