I have a yellow map of Africa. I can outline it but the color inside remains. I would like to be able to take the shape of Africa only, apply on a picture so that I have only a picture in shape of Africa.
Thanks a million
Dom

This can be done with a layer mask. Locate 'layer mask' in the manual for details.

Whoops - I thought I was still in the Photoshop forum.

Nevertheless, they work similarly. Check out this for an example of doing this as a quickmask...

If you can paste a link to the image I can create the mask for you and you can apply that to any subsequent image.

Try using a fill, and set the fill type to "selected area". If it fills the wrong part, try inverting the selection first (from the selection menu).
