Hi, how do those remember me things on sites work?

Has it got something to do with cookies?

Any one know of any examples/tutorials??

Regards,

Martin

They put a cookie on the browser and the browser gives it back to them when you connect again.

ok thanks. for example the cookie store the username of the user, then when they come back, it sets a session with the value of the username? would this work?

Martin

Sure. You can do whatever you want. Store an id in the database and when they come back look all their info up in the db. The ID means nothing to anyone else. Store any identifying piece of information you like in the cookie.
