I'm updating a database(duh). What I have is a table with an field named Part Name of type Memo. Then using switchboards, I have a switchboard that does view Parts. once in that switchboard i have the option to view all parts. now what i want to happen when i click on view all parts is for access to bring up a list of all the parts (via Part Name on the table) in alphabetical order. On top of that I would like to make each name linked to the corresponding report for that item. How should I go about doing this? Forms, Hyperlinked reports?(I tried this, but the mouse stays int he magnification mode so I can't click on hyperlinks). Please help, I'm stumped.

Rather than use a report, use a form. The hyperlinks on the report cannot be clicked, nor can you place interactive contorls on a report. By using a form, you can have objects and buttons that can link out as you need them.

the only issue i have is that the table i'm grabbing info from expands. Is there anyway to make a form automatically refresh the info it has each time its called? I also need the info to be listed alphabetically.

Hi,
You should probably base the recordsource of the form on a query. Within the query object, you can set the sort order of the fields. If you wanted to have all parts listed in alphabetic sequence by part name, then you should specifiy this as the first field in your query, and see the sort type (ascending, or descending). Because your form is now based on a query, each time you open the form, it will get a new set of data.
