I may be overreaching myself with this one. I'm just scratching at the edges of ASP and this is kind of involved.

I found a really great guestbook .fla & docs at Zymotik.com (a few months back - it doesn't seem to be there anymore) - it's totally complete - supposedly all I have to do is change the GUI and figure out how to set it up. There are rudimentary setup instructions (obviously intended for someone who knew what they were doing) included in the zip, at this link:

I've been trying to make it work, but keep having problems like code showing up in the text input fields and not being able to get back to read the supposedly saved messages (which, of course, I haven't been successful at pointing at the db or sending to my email addy, as the instructions promised). Some of the asp code makes sense, but I guess I'm not really clear what I need to change for my purposes & what I need to leave alone.
You gurus out there, let me know if I need to just wait on this until I have more experience - I guess I'm willing to do something simpler but I *really, really* would like to use this one! (really, really really!) It's so cool! :)

P.S. I'm ready to administer more cyberhugs to anyone who responds. s-)
