Legato looks good as a product, but how secure is it ?
It seems to be using host-named based authetication and I haven't found any info on if it is possible to encrypt data etc.... feedback please!

Hi!

NetWorker has some decent security features.. You can restrict which network interface the system uses, which backup servers can connect to a client and specify which users on which systems can perform directed recovers. It also has directives that allow you to password protect data that has been backed up.

For more information, you can go to Legato's website at and check out some of the administrator guides.

Good Luck!
