My employer has decided some outside person with hi tech gear might pick up the signal from our cordless mice and keyboards, so we cannot use them anymore. Does this make sense? We are in a very high security environment, so maybe the keyboard, but the mouse?

It would have to be very hi tech equipment, the ir transmitters in the keyboards and mice are not very powerful at all, they have a range of no more than 2 metres. If that outside person had the gear to see both the mice and keyboards, they are just as likely to have the gear to see the screens as well (unless you are Tempest proofed). Only my limited opinion tho.

Maybe you should have everyone wear aluminum foil hats and cover their workstations with ferrite.....never can be too careful....
