After upgrading to 8.0 it seems as if all our 401k plans lost their reference to HR and Payroll.
We set the plans back up but I now get a message saying that the: "Human Reources Benefit Setup must be run in Human Resources Reconcile"
I know the rule of thumb of running a backup before any "big" operations but it seems to me that the reconcile task doesn't really require a full backup.. or does it?

What am I looking at? The help doesn't mention much about it.

Any indications that running a HR reconcile might mess up things just before (or after) we run payroll?

Thanks

I have never run a backup before reconciling HR to Payroll. That is Microsofts way of covering their but. The reconcile does not effect Payroll...you are reconciling from Payroll to HR probably because your benefits were brought in through Integration Manager and they only hit Payroll tables.

Lewis, thanks a bunch.

yes it looked like it was a flawless run and even thou I had a backup in place, it looked like it was a safe process.

better be safe then sorry ;)
