A couple of years ago my neice purchased an Ipod. Well, like most 15 year olds she downloaded her 1000 songs, a great majority from Bearshare. It was only a matter of time before her computer system ran afoul.
She's 18 now, they have a new, reformatted hard drive and a NEW ipod. She tells me that Bearshare has upgraded or reconfigured their software and the products which they offer. She claims that they NOW have an anti-virus feature available if you PAY on an annual basis. I'm not sure the exact amount. Its not a lot of $$$$$. She has used it for a few months now and says everything is fine.
Can I get some help on this? Does this sound legitimate? Are there ANY file sharing programs that are safe to run on your computer?
