Hi! Love the site! Very Helpful :)

I've seen a lot of sites lately that use a navigation 'bar' that's really cool.

When your mouse rolls over one 'button', it enlarges while the other 'buttons' move out of the way, shrink, fade, etc.

How is this accomplished? If its really detailed, just give the the general gist of it.

THX!

its actually quite simple....this is how i would do it....many others would do it differnetly and probably better but im still a noob so here goes...i would put each button instance you have into its own movie then put each movie onto the same frame to make up your navbar....then on each button i would assign an action that would look something like

onmouse rollover tell target (here is where you would target all of your other movies) then what you want it to do ie alpha out to a certain percentage and on the button you are over just on its over instance have it enlarged.

deecee X-)

if this doesnt help just ask oldnewb....he knows all

My head is already by now as big as it will ever get! So no worry! LOL

There's been quite a few threads related to Pber1's question in the last few weeks, and I will leave it to our "onClipEvent specialist", Wangbar, to answer it, in a better way than I ever could.

BTW, curiously when Wangbar(Dave) is around, Davdesign(Dave) isn't! Coincidence?

By the way Tulsa, did you solve your problems in your last two threads?
You never came back saying so!
