I'm switching to VFP from VB for this project. I noticed that the report wizard in VFP allowed a simple sort (one report field) but I needed more sorting in the report than just that. I also couldn't find a way to edit that sort criteria once a had finished the report wizard. When I went back to create the report manually, I couldn't even find the option to sort at all. Do I have to code these reports by hand? [sig][/sig]

I'm not a fan of the VFP Wizards; in the long run, I think you'll be happier writing the code yourself, as it generally is only a few lines of code anyway (a single SELECT statement, for example).

When you write it yourself, either in the DataEnvironment or in a procedure that calls the report, you can have up to 128 levels of Grouping, so you can sort it many ways (even without making separate groups).

PS: this probably should go in the Microsoft: Visual FoxPro forum. [sig]<p>Robert Bradley<br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= - Visual FoxPro Development</a><br> [/sig]
