how report iowait percentage in linux ?

I try top , vmstat,sar ( downloaded from a France web site),
all these report only sys and usr percentage, don't
report wio or I/O waiting percentage, it may reported as
idle, please recommend a tool can tell I/O waiting ?

Hi, i have heard rumours it is impossible to do in linux, as it doesnt account io time.

I have also seen direct evidence to the contrary.

So, presumably, at some stage those stats were available through a kernel patch that was not integrated into the standard kernel source for some reason.
