Hi -
I'm a newbie - hope one of you more experienced folks has an answer for this -
I'm creating a home page that has a looping slideshow running constantly. What I'd like to do next is create menu buttons that, when you mouseover, they bloom into flowers (I know, too cute) with a little chime sound.
The slideshow works fine. I've created my menu buttons & my little blooming mouseover movie, & started putting them on layers. I've got asp that directs the movie to play on mouseover, and a sound is in the "over" section of the button timeline. What's happening so far is, when the movie loads, the slideshow starts (which I want) & the flower blooms (which I don't want); when I mouseover the flower blooms again & the sound plays (good), but the slideshow starts over (bad). (Should I have the slideshow be an independent movie?) Also, once the flower movie plays the button just disappears until I take the mouse off, and I want the last frame of the flower movie to stay until I take the mouse off, and then run the movie backwards to the button start instance (which I think I've figured out how to do).
I know I'm being *very* ambitious for such a beginner, but it seems like there should be a simple solution for this... Suggestions for solutions to *any* part of this would be welcome. I will be continuing to try to figure it out... If I do I'll post again.
