Hello,

I am searching around an info wich I can't find anywhere, even on microsoft.com.
My question is:
How long Microsoft will support Jet Engine 4.0?
What I know is Jet Engine 4.0 is included in Access 2002, so it will be supported until June 2006. But does it mean they will support the Jet Engine 4.0 until this date? Won't they release a Service Pack with a Jet Engine 5.0 in between and stop tu support the version 4.0?
Thank you

Gilles

But in the "good news" department...

"Microsoft Office Access 2003 requires the Microsoft Jet 4.0 Service Pack 7 update. This service pack includes an updated sandbox mode that allows Microsoft Office Access 2003 to block potentially unsafe expressions. Some features in Office Access 2003 will not function properly if you do not install Microsoft Jet 4.0 Service Pack 7."

So it does appear that for at least Office 2003's lifecycle we'll have Jet 4.0 around.
