How many records can AAU store?

Hi lalrl,

From the ACAB manual:

The default size of the buffer in the file system is 2 MB and with a SMDR record size of 113 bytes (for MD110) this will give a storage capacity of over 17 000 records in ASCII format. When compression is activated the compression ratio is typically between 2:1 and 6:1 depending on the data load (number of records to compress at a time). The higher load the larger block of data to compress before writing to file and the better compression ratio.
