Is there a limit to how many subreports you can have in one report? I have a main report which has two subreports, if I run it with only one, it runs fine, if I try to run it with both subreports I get an error message '20599 Cannot ope SQL Server'

Can anyone help on this please?

Thanks

You can have two subreports in a report.

Because of the error message you're getting, check the database logon details on the 2nd subreport, and whether the connection dll being used is the same as the other reports.

All the reports have the same odbc connection. But I am logging on through a different odbc connection. The reports were designed with a connection of db1.mdb, but the log on db is staffs.mdb.

Is this why it wont' run?

Run a Set Location on each of the reports so that they all point to staff.mdb.
