I think I saw 4:
70-432
70-433
70-450
70-451

I'm trolling the Microsoft site trying to figure it. There were only 2 tests for SQL 2000.

I took the 71-433 beta and felt pretty good so I thought I'd look in to getting my cert current. Now I'm having a hard time figuring out the certpath.

For SQL Server 2005 there are three exams.

One for the MCTS (70-431), and two for the MCITP Database Administrator (70-443, 70-444).

For SQL Server 2008 there are two exams.

One for the MCTS (70-432), and one for the MCITP Database Administrator 2008 (70-450).

If you hold the MCITP in SQL 2005 you can upgrade to SQL 2008 by taking the 70-453 exam.

If you hold the MSDBA in SQL 2000 you can upgrade to SQL 2005 by taking the 70-431 to get the MCTS and 70-447 to get the MCITP.

Keep in mind that most of the SQL 2008 exams aren't available yet.

71 series exams are beta exams. If you pass the exam you'll be given credit for the 70-433 exam. Passing the 70-433 gives you the MCTS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Database Development certification.

The Development certs are totally different from the admin certs now. In SQL 2000 there was only one cert, in SQL 2005 the MCTS was the same, with the MCITP being different.

I felt pretty good when I took the test too; like I knew most of what I was being asked. I want to be an Admin and Developer. So when if pass I'm an MCTS??? Hmmmmmm yeaaahhhhh!!! [afro] Can't wait for the results.
