How many engines should I set

I have an AIX server with 2 cpus and 1Gb memory.
I have 2 sybase servers running on this box.
What is the best method of setting the engines ;
A. Each ASE instance is set for 1 engine ?
B. Each ASE instance is set for 2 engines ?
C. Assign each ASE instance a specific engine ?
