How many DNS resolver caches in XP?

Hello,

I have a Local Area Connection 2 (VPN), and Local Area connection 1 (LAN). Repairing the connection clears all caches. If I repair the connection/clear caches of the LAN connection, will this be the same cache that the VPN connection accesses?

I ask because each connection has a repair option when connected.

Let me know if anything is unclear
