We are moving to an 11 digit dial plan on our Avaya. We currently use Call Manager for our integration to Unity.

I need to find out if Unity will support 11 digits. Or maybe less specific what ranges of digit length will Unity support?

I have googled this and can't seem to find the anser. I have asked our sales engineer and he can't find anyone to give us the answer yet.

We currently have Unity 4.2 (I believe).

Any help would be appreciated.

11 digits is fine. I don't remember the exact length that it will support but I know that I have customers using 14 digits extensions so 11 should not be an issue.

In my google search I found one document that details configuring the routers and such and it specified 2-15 digits but it wasn't a Unity document so i wasn't sure.

I appreciate the info. It makes me feel better about my plan. I would like to see it in writing somewhere before I commit my design to the project.

Can one not connect Unity directly to the Definity/Communications Manager? Unity is a very old system and use to support Definity not only in analog, but also in digital.

Why not Intuity Audix? She's a nice system...

Those part numbers in the doc have been EOL'd for sometime. There is a replacement card but you may want to look at the PIMG. Pretty much the same except how Unity talks to the PIMG box. Unity doesn't have to be physically close to the PBX since it's SIP to from the PIMG box to unity.
