Hi All

We're in the process of setting up a Terminal Server in a brand new domain. The domain will not only have 2 client computers - a SQL server and a Terminal Server. Obviousyl we will have TS licenses, but users will be RDP'ing into the server from a different domain.

My question is, if we go for per-device licensing, how many CAL's do we need on our DC ? Would we just need 2 ? One for the SQL Server and one for the TS ?

Thanks in advance

The licenses are installed on the TS not the DC. You would need a device CAL for each workstation that will be connecting to the TS.

I would recommend going with per-user CAL's instead.
