I know it will throw out the screen for people using navigator, but out of interest, anyone know how many words a marquee can handle? is there a limit?
and is there any way to make a marquee scroll in navigator?

Hmm, curious about the limit myself, I did a little test: got up to around 30000 characters (probably more) before I gave up copying and pasting.

Tested this in a browser, and seemed to work ok.

As for a marquee in NS, you might be able to acheive a similar effect with DHTML/Javascript, but not by using the <marquee> tag.

Hope this helps...

If you know the attribute of the marquee tag, you can do some fun stuff with it (but using frontpage and trying to do cool stuff with marquee is a pain).
To make the text go in what looks like a sinusoidal curve you just have a marquee (up/down) inside anotehr marquee (left right).. and you need both of them going bouncing off the side of the screen and coming back, maybe that is the alternating one, i dont remember.

If you're feeling bad for the Netscape people viewing your stuff with marquee, you can always put a blink tag in there (gah, annoying).
