how many chapter should i read?

i am reading complete study guide deluxe edition from Sybex. this book has 17 chapters. how many chapter should i read for 220-601? it says chapter 1 through 11 are for A+ Essentials but i just want to make sure i am reading right.
i feel i am ready so i am thinking to take a tast next week. any advise for me

That will really depend upon you. How well you feel you are retaining what you are reading, how tired you are, and what your reading level is (I know guys that are speed readers and seem to have photographic memories). You say you feel you are ready. Have you taken any of the practice tests that are usually included with the Sybex book? That will really measure your level of readiness.

That's actually some pretty good advice.


When I first set out to study for the A+ (some 4 years ago), I borrowed a book from a friend who had passed it. About 1/2 way through, I realized that they'd changed the exam since then. I continued reading it, got the updated book, read that, and passed both exams on the same day about a week later.

They key seems to be in retaining short-term memory. Reading the material twice will ensure that you didn't forget anything crucial, IMO.
