I have a Cisco 2821 running IOS 12.4(20)T3 which acts as our voice gateway. I have three PRI circuits connected to it, along with some POTS circuits. I am attempting to determine how many of the 72 channels (3 x 24) of the PRI's I am using at a maximum. Is there a command to run that will show me that?

Just attempting to stay ahead of our growth curve, and add another PRI before it is really needed.

It can only be a real time report of the channels used and not historical. the command is show voice call status
For historical usage you need a third party solution offered by many vendors, ISI being one of them.

You can use SNMP/MRTG if you want to do it on the cheap, or use a system like Solarwinds. Either way, the Cisco gateways have MIBs that can be polled to monitor channel usage. Use the MIBs for current and historical use.

You should be able to run ISDN stats from the gateway. It will show you busy and idle ports in real time. I dont know the command off hand, I'll check for you.

Ask the telephone company for a usage report (Actual names vary per the company) on the 3 circuits. Typically it will run over the course of a week and you will need to schedule it. This is the most accurate way to do this as it will show you any blocked incoming calls too, that you otherwise would not know about. Most companys will do this for free at least once a year.
