How long to wait to sync AD between servers?

In Ad sites/ intersite/ip

It looks like default is 180 minutes
That seems a tad too long!

What do you guys usually set yours too?

I guess it depends what are the communications, amount of data passing by, etc...

For example how big is you AD, how fast it are your communications lines, etc...

I will make a guess that you dont do crazy amounts of AD changes and 3 hours is fine for a full replication. What you probably want to do is replicate account lockouts/unlocks and password changes faster than every 3 hours. Take a look at this link, im sure its what your seeking:

We have a server here in missouri, and one in panama the country.
Missouri has a T1, Panama has frame relay.

Have probably 25-30 users in AD.
If something/someone needs updated on the panama server, I usually would just do it on our Missouri server because the Panama server is in spanish. But then it doesnt take effect for 180 minutes.

That is my problem. Usually in this situation i log on to the panama server and do the changes.
