How long to set up a RAID?

3 disk 250Gb UDMA/133? The board is a Gigabyte GA-7VAXP Ultra, the RAID controller is the onboard Promise PDC20276 ATA 133 RAID controller.

RAID level will probably be 5, but maybe 0, is there a difference in setup-time?

I envisage using the quickformat option or this could take a _very_ long time, right?
