Hi, i have a few issues with my active directory, and i wonder if i change a policy, is there some sort of delay till it's accepted by the "members"of that group?

any tips are more then welcome,

The policy needs time to replicate before it takes effect. If after a reasonable time e.g. 15-20 Min, you notice that the policy still doesn't work you can run the following in DOS on the domain controller where you created the policy

secedit /refreshpolicy user_policy

--above is for the user policies and for machine policies run---

secedit /refreshpolicy machine_policy

If after waiting again you notice the policy is not taking effect determine if it doesn't work on just one client PC or if it doesn't work on all client PCs. When it is limited to just one, then drop this PC from the DOMAIN and readd it.

Lemme know!

Thx FrauW ! exactly the command i was looking for! PERFECT!
