I will be removing DID Trunks from my switch and pointing my main number to an existing T-1 that we just had installed a few months ago. Is there anything I need to check to make sure when this main number is pointed to the new circuit that the operatore console will still recieve calls? Or is it as simple as just pointing the DID to the new circuit?

Hello Lynmar,

Is this main number currently on a copper line now that autoterminates to the console? When you point the number to your T1, are you going to have it carry a DNIS/DID value? If so, do you have that value defined in your PBX as a LDN that is a key on your console? Print a DNB on the DID/DNIS you have the main number carry into the PBX.

The main number currently comes in on 10 copper DID trunks, I want to point this main DID number to a T-1 circuit.

DON'T DO ANYTHING ONCE THE CO POINTS IT TO THE T1 IT WILL COME IN AS BEFORE
