Hello!

How is swap management in HP-UX different from Solaris? I understand that in HP-UX swap is reserved when a process is started and swap will be used when memory is needed. Is it the same with Solaris?

Also, what is the recommended amount of swap space for Solaris (for hp-ux, double?)?

Thanks for any info.

I don't believe swap management is so different between *nix flavors. The main idea is that you must at least have swap space greater than RAM.

Hope This Help
