Please Give Us Some Ideas on How E-Biz Will Change Software
Houses and Software Services? Does it give Advantage to
Big Portals, and Large International Companies.

It gives the advatage to whom ever can keep up with the latest technology. Chances are the smaller development firm can change faster than a large multi-national. I think that we'll see the day of in house development go by the way side and small development firms that can produce great software will rule the day. Of all the products we use to power our site, not one was written by myself or the staff, other than the basic PHP pages. Everthing was with GPL or purchased. There is no way we could have developed as the level of software we're using for the $6000 price tag we spent.

E-biz has become much more than just E-commerce. I own a web application firm, and we call e-commerce "first-generation web." Because E-biz is now requiring much more than just E-commerce (clients now want web-based HR, accounting, marketing, supply chain management, ERP, etc.), we are calling web applications "next-generation web." The demands of E-biz have caused the web application market to explode. Specifically, now most clients are looking for web software solutions rather than the typical client-server model made popular over the last decade. To see what I mean, check out my company's website: ClaspOne.com. Software has already changed, but E-biz will keep those changes coming. What do you think?
