how is available credit calculated 2

How is the available credit, that is on the customer credit box that pops up when entering a order, calculated?

for example:

credit limit 500,000.00
A/R balance 40,977.36
open orders 5,080.00
available credit 578,942.64 ???

I believe in your AR control file you have a 25% factor entered for your credit limmits. The exact field name escapes me. Thus your $500,000 is really $625,000 and your math follows. Subtract the orders and open are to get to the remaining credit.

Thanks NEmacGuy. I found that setting on the O/E setup. It was set at 25% as you suspected.
