Dear All
I am using MD110 BC 11 SP13. How can check the Lisence of IPU in IPUX.thenaks

Thanks but we can read the Lisence of NIU by using NIUX (readeic i).
likewise can we read in ipux.

as I said, no way. You need to read it from the PROM. I don't remember the address....

Hi ckhan,

readeic will give you the site license identity for contained on the IPU. You can see it with readeic however the ability to re-write this code was removed from users. If you trawl back through old posts, you will see that there was a trick to downgrade the firmware to access the ability to write the code then upgrade again. This loophole was closed by Ericsson by preventing downgrading.

If you only want to print eic log on using ipux-
IPUX Logon
With the IPU board started (power is on) and a terminal connected to one of the terminal
ports, enter a sequence of upper case 'S' until you get an echo. This is the same as logging on
normally, however DO NOT use semicolon, just press the enter key.
Enter command 'ipux' and when prompted, enter the password, the default is HELP, again with
no semicolon. Wait for IPUX prompt 'Ipux >'; you are now logged on to the IPUX system.

Give it a go.

Sorry guys, had a senior moment and got a bit confused. The downgrading trick was of course for the NIU. For the IPU the EIC code is embedded in the EPROM as fcpli has already stated. [sad]
