How I connect Crystal Report to Personal Oracle database

You will need to install the Oracle client on your PC.

Then the Oracle DB should be accessible via ODBC. Configure a DSN and use that in your report.

There are several methods available, Native, ODBC, OLE DB and ADO.

This is CR version dependent, to get started, create an ODBC connection to the database, and then in the data explorer, point to that connection.

problem with connection with personal oracle 8
when we show the report through VB it shows
but when we unclick the option save data with report
in file menu and refresh report and then show the report
through vb it shows the following error
INCORRECT LOGON PARAMETERS

Your connectivity in VB is probably wrong.

When data is saved within a report, it goes with it until a forced refresh, which apparently you are not doing. Try opening the report with the data saved and clicking the little lightning bolt, there's your error agin, right?

Check your connectivity within the app, I'm fairly certain that Crystal is innocent this time
