Hi,
My machine got 2 hard disk.. one is hda (primary disk i guess) and another one is hdb ... hda have DOS in it and hdb is where i install redhat linux 7.3 ... the problem is ... when i reboot the machine, it will try to boot the DOS at hda instead of linux at hdb ...

how do i change it so it will automatically boot the machine with linux from hdb?? thanks for your help...

Install either GRUB or LILO and delete the MBR of /dev/hda. Run 'fdisk /mbr' so that DOS doesn't boot anymore, and then install LILO or GRUB from Linux. Read this thread on installing GRUB or LILO --> thread54-302917 Make sure you have boot disks for DOS and Linux before you do this in case you can't boot to either.
