Dear All,
I am using C# and would like to know how to generate dynamic columns based on my data set? I would like to do some thing how I can freely progrm dynamic column as in web page programming? Thanks.

In Crystal, there's a function called Crosstab which might be what you're after. Except you can't control it in detail.

Dear Madawc,
I need something where I can control freely like how we programm table in asp.net or php? Can I do that with crystal report? Thanks.

The nearest is a Mock-Crosstab. This is something that looks like a Crosstab, but in fact you define each column yourself, normally as a running total. This would need to go in the report footer, because running totals count as the reports 'run' and they will not be complete until then. Crystal should have included an example along with the Crosstabs.

You can save a little time by doing a paste to a dummy report, changing the name and then pasting back.

Dear Madawc,
I dont quite get your "mock-crosstab" solution. If you dont mind is there any sample where I can refer ? Thanks.

You should have one. It's a set of running totals that you define and control yourself.

I don't know what you mean exactly when you compare what you would like to web page programming or programming in asp.net or php, but maybe the following thread will be helpful: thread149-655589.

Dear lbass,
What I meant by web programming is that in web we can decide the number of columns and accordingly we can build the table with that many number of columns? So is that possible with crystal report? Thanks.
