Hi

I wonder how much work there is to create a flash pop up window that pops up when a cd is inserted in the drive. The flas window should consits of 3 buttons, they should...

1. Install Acrobat
2. Open up a pdf doc
3. Open a txt file

Does anyone knows of a tutorial on how to do this?

Regards

Assuming the Acrobat intaller was on the cd, I guess you could possibly do all 3, with an fscommand and "exec"...

You have to use a batch file (PC) or an Macintosh AppleScript file to open up a specific .pdf or a text file.

You can look into third party applications, that may make this process easier, but will cost you...

Flashjester or Flash Studio Pro.

Or you can look into this free one:
You could also have a look at this: ...But don't know if that would work on Mac, if you needed this thing to work on both platforms.

Finally for autorun, and cd burning...

Hi

Thanks for all the input, I have now started with this. But a little issue is bugging me. I have created a button that I want to add action script to. But when I doublecklick it and enters the mode where I can assign actions for up, down and so on. I can't add the action script that I want.

Any Ideas of what I do wrong?

Don't double click. I know in Flash 5 you just right click>actions, but in mx2004 I think they've taken that away. There has to ba a way, maybe under Window at the top, there might be Actions....anyway, it's the double clicking that's gettin' in your way.

Hi

Yes that was the mistake I did, anyway I got it working now :-D

Thanks
